Behind the Jamie’s Farm therapeutic programme stands a highly skilled and experienced staff team. Co-CEOs Jamie Feilden (Co-Founder) and Jake Curtis, alongside Co-Founder and Director of Therapeutic Education, Tish Feilden, lead a dedicated Executive Team. Additionally, an expert Board chaired by Sarah Brennan, former CEO of Young Minds, provides strategic oversight and guidance. Together, they ensure the charity continues to deliver high-quality, evidence-based work with young people.
The charity remains ambitious. Since inception, they have grown significantly and are now entering another exciting phase of development. They have recently purchased their sixth residential farm, located near Bath, which is due to open in October 2024. This new site will increase capacity and allow the charity to reach even more young people who can benefit from the Jamie’s Farm therapeutic programme.
The farm-based approach is central to their ethos. Through structured farm routines, meaningful responsibilities, and a family-style setting, young people experience a different way of living and relating. They receive clear boundaries, consistent expectations, and genuine encouragement. Consequently, many begin to see themselves differently, recognising their strengths and potential in a way that traditional classroom settings may not allow.
In addition, Roderick James, architect of the Monmouth cabins and a founding trustee, expressed heartfelt thanks to Lindy and the SJLCT trustees for their generous support. He wrote: “I can’t tell you how thrilled and excited we all are to have such generous support. It gives us the chance to really carry this pilot project through in the best possible way and to investigate how best we might also be able to incorporate the children in the whole process… We would be delighted to dedicate it to Sarah-Jane Leigh… with all profits going to Jamie’s Farm.”

You can also explore Jamie’s impact more widely through the recent Metro Newspaper coverage, which shares Adele’s story and highlights the difference the Jamie’s Farm therapeutic programme can make. Their accompanying video on YouTube offers a vivid insight into life on the farm:
The Sarah Jane Leigh Charitable Trust (SJLCT) has also supported Jamie’s Farm through funding towards their six-week Transformative Programme at Waterloo for eight young people. On a small strip of land between Waterloo Station and St Thomas’ Hospital, you will find Oasis Farm Waterloo, their London site. Since 2014, Jamie’s Farm and their team have transformed this former wasteland into a thriving and productive half-acre city farm, with the help of young people who visit from their countryside farms and local communities.
This urban space now provides a vital bridge between city life and the therapeutic power of nature. Young people learn practical skills, reconnect with the environment, and gain space to reflect away from the pressures of school and home. With continued support from partners such as the SJLCT, Jamie’s Farm can sustain and develop these programmes, ensuring more children access early, holistic support when they need it most.
